BROOKSVILLE — Heritage Golf Group has acquired Southern Hills Plantation Club from managing partner MG Orender, the company recently announced.
The purchase is the fourth in a multi-club agreement with Orender's Hampton Golf Group. Heritage previously acquired The Plantation Golf & Country Club, Country Club of Ocala and The Palencia Club in late October. The company now owns 47 clubs nationwide.
"It has been a pleasure working with MG Orender and the Hampton Golf Group team across these four successful acquisitions," said Jim Oliver, chief operating officer of Heritage Golf Group.
The acquisition gives Heritage 13 clubs in Florida, including 10 on the state's west coast.
Southern Hills features a Pete Dye-designed golf course, four tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a fitness center and a resort-style pool. The club also hosts weddings and events.
Heritage officials said they are discussing capital improvements with members and staff to align with the club's culture and priorities.
