Beauty school student charged with posting shooting threat

CLEARWATER — A beauty school student faces a felony charge after posting a photo of herself on social media with a message threatening to shoot up the school, sheriff's officials said.

Addison Gass, 18, of Largo, was arrested Jan. 5 after deputies learned of the post, which read "i'm abt to shoot up this school" and "they done pissed me tf off," according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

Gass, a student at Aveda Institute in Clearwater, admitted to making the post and told deputies she was frustrated over a dress code violation, the agency said.

She was charged with written threats to commit a mass shooting.
