Firefighters battled a two-alarm house fire in Thonotosassa that threatened nearby homes and vehicles.
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue responded to 10505 Bay Hills Circle at 1:50 a.m. Feb. 3 after receiving multiple 911 calls, according to the agency. The single-story house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
Firefighters were hampered by limited water supply and the fire's proximity to neighboring homes and vehicles, fire rescue said. Crews fought the fire from outside to protect surrounding structures and called for backup.
The fire was brought under control about an hour after the initial call, according to fire rescue. Firefighters remained on scene extinguishing hot spots.
No firefighter injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation, fire rescue said.
