Tee up for annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament

LARGO — Mayor Woody Brown will host golfers of all skill levels Saturday, May 2, at the 27th Annual Mayor’s Golf Tournament at the Largo Golf Course. The event kicks off with the Sponsorship Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the Community Member Tournament from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

“This year’s tournament brings a little Southwestern spirit to the course with our ‘Southwest Scramble’ theme,” said Brown. “It is always great to see the community come together for a day of friendly competition while supporting opportunities for local youth.”

Each tournament offers 18 holes of golf, complete with a cart, an event T-shirt; complimentary meal, snacks, and beverages; and the chance to win various prizes.

Registration is open to adults of all skill levels, with a registration fee of $75 per golfer. Registration fees paid before Friday, April 17, will receive a $5 discount.

To register, visit the Largo Golf Course or email Golf@largo.com.

Proceeds benefit the City of Largo Summer Camp Youth Scholarship, sponsored by the City’s Recreation, Parks and Arts Department, helping provide local youth with access to summer camp opportunities.
