An Oldsmar man was arrested after fleeing the scene of a crash that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries, the Tarpon Springs Police Department said.
Tarrin Gold, 23, faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury, failure to give information and render aid, and fleeing and eluding, according to police.
The crash happened just after 7 p.m. April 29 on northbound U.S. 19 near Martin Luther King Drive, police said. A Hyundai Sonata struck a motorcycle and took off, leaving the driver’s side rear taillight at the scene and the rear bumper dangling, according to police.
The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert, police said.
Investigators tracked the Sonata to Oldsmar with help from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, according to police.
