Hernando County transit launches two bus routes

Route 10 will loop around east Spring Hill; Route 11 will connect into Citrus County

BROOKSVILLE — Hernando County’s transit system, TheBus, will add two routes May 4, expanding service through east Spring Hill and into Citrus County.

Route 10 will run as a loop between the Walmart on State Road 50 and the Publix on County Line Road, providing north-south service through east Spring Hill along Anderson Snow Road, Elgin Boulevard, Deltona Boulevard, Cortez Boulevard and Barclay Avenue. Stops include Publix at Avalon, the Anderson Snow Park splash pad, the Walmart Neighborhood Market and the Walmart on Cortez.

Route 11 will loop between the Walmart on State Road 50 and the Publix in Sugarmill Woods in Citrus County, with two-way service along the U.S. 19 corridor. The route will also run along Hexam Road and Sunshine Grove Road, with connections to Cortez Boulevard.
