Seminole Optimists deliver calendars for Mother’s Day
Members of Seminole Breakfast Optimist Club delivered 20 liquid chalk two-month wall calendars on May 10 to the young mothers and expectant mothers of Alpha House of Pinellas County.
The wall calendars, designed and created by the Seminole Optimist Club, provide positive affirmations and visuals on planning and days to look forward to for the formerly homeless teenage mothers.
Alpha House of Pinellas County is a residential maternity program that provides safe housing and support for homeless pregnant women and teenagers and new mothers with infants.
Alpha House furnishes homeless young mothers with newborns and expectant mothers, most who are in distressing circumstances, with food, shelter, childcare support, transportation assistance and education for independent living skills.
