Manatee County is accepting applications for two openings on the Tourist Development Council, which makes recommendations to Manatee County commissioners on how tourist tax revenues are spent.
The TDC is comprised of nine volunteer members. Eligible applicants include those who are involved in the tourist industry and who have demonstrated an interest in tourist development, but are not be subject to the 6% resort tax in Manatee County. All applicants must be registered Manatee County voters. Terms are for four years.
The TDC meets on the second or third Monday every other month at 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. at various locations throughout Manatee County.
Applications are due on June 1 and are online at www.mymanatee.org/advisory_boards.
