By Tampa Bay Beacons

On Wednesday, June 3, at 6:30 p.m., the Palm Harbor Library and Palm Harbor Museum celebrate our nation’s semi-quincentennial (America 250).

Palm Harbor Museum Presents Voices and Visions of 1776: The Spirit of Service — Civic Engagement will be held at the at Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave. It will feature clips from PBS’s “The American Revolution” directed by Ken Burns, and speakers, discussion, artifacts from the museum and refreshments. It is free but donations are accepted.

National Quilting Day a success

The Palm Harbor Museum was practically overflowing with colorful quilts on National Quilting Day last month as Quilter’s Crossing Quilt Guild members were sewing charity quilts to donate as comforting gifts to children and women in need. The love with which they were creating them was a delight to watch.

Hart Endowment Fund off to a great start

Palm Harbor Museum’s Hart Endowment fund is off to a wonderful start since our kickoff celebration on March 28 with more than $16,000 already raised toward our first $100,000 goal. We invite you to be part of Palm Harbor Historical Society history through our HART Fund: Heritage & Archives Rooted Together.

Through the Pinellas Community Foundation, our HART Endowment Fund is Palm Harbor Museum’s permanent endowment — a long-term investment that generates steady annual support for preservation, education, and community programs. It is the financial foundation that ensures our history is protected not just today, but for generations to come. Through this new endowment initiative, you will preserve the stories and spirit of Palm Harbor for generations.

Donations may be made by cash, check, online, or via planned gifts and bequests.
