Seminole pedestrian, 85, killed after being struck by trailer

An 85-year-old Seminole woman was killed early June 4 after being struck by a trailer in a crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. near Bellewood Avenue North and 136th Street North. Authorities said a Toyota Tundra towing an enclosed utility trailer was backing westbound on Bellewood Avenue North when the trailer struck the pedestrian, who was walking east along the edge of the roadway.

The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck, a 57-year-old Seminole man, was not injured.
