Largo Lions Club cooks for Lighthouse picnic

Lighthouse of Pinellas, Inc. held their annual Spring Picnic April 25 at Walsingham Park in Seminole. The Largo Lions have cooked and provided the food for the annual picnic for over 20 years. Lighthouse of Pinellas provides free services for the blind and visually impaired throughout Pinellas County. The picnic brought together more than 100 attendees.

Guests of all ages enjoyed a variety of activities, including yard games, face painting, a bounce house, and a scavenger hunt complete with prizes. One of the highlights of the day was a lively drum circle experience which brought energy, rhythm, and joy to everyone involved. Clients and their families came together at the event to connect and celebrate as one community.

Members of the Largo Lions Club say it’s their favorite service project of the year. Lions Club member Jeff Evans says he “always loves seeing the smiles on the faces of the children and families that attend.”
