BRADENTON — The Tampa Bay area’s own indie rockers In Transit will headline a concert on Friday, June 26, 7 p.m., at Oscura, 816 Manatee Ave. E., Bradenton.
Admission is “pay what you want” for those 21 and older; and $10 for guests under 21. Visit oscura.live.
According to Ashtray Monument Records, In Transit has been skirting the blurry lines of musical genres since 2018, effortlessly blending all the best elements of Dischord era post-hardcore with late 1990s emo hooks and the new wave synths and samples of all your favorite old Cure albums. The band takes pride in carefully crafting expansive, cinematic and dynamically progressive indie rock.
Known for their dedication and the highest work ethic a band can have, In Transit has been a workhorse in the regional scene for the better part of a decade. The band’s ranks are made entirely of longtime members of the area music community, and their experience shines through in their music.
In Transit has shared the stage with countless local and regional artists, along with shows alongside legendary acts such as Garrett Klahn, The Darling Fire and Florida scene heavyweights Have Gun Will Travel, Slap Of Reality and Hollyglen among others.
“We love music,” the band states on its record label’s website. “It’s everything to us. And we love making it for ourselves and for others. We hope you enjoy it as much as we’ve loved creating it.”
Band members include Ben Bakker on vocals and guitar, Adam Byers on guitar and vocals, Matt Roback on bass and vocals, Keith Krusch on synth and samples, and Alex Frazzoni on drums.
Also on the bill for the June 26 show is The Sophomore Effort, Floating Boy and Moth Bite.
