FHP Trooper injured after car struck at red light in Pasco

A Florida Highway Patrol officer was injured after a Hudson woman crashed into the back of his vehicle that was stopped at a traffic light June 23, according to FHP.

At 7:09 a.m., a Buick sedan driven by an 18-year-old Hudson woman was traveling east on State Road 54.

According to FHP, she failed to stop and struck the rear of the FHP vehicle, a Dodge Ram driven by a male trooper who was stopped at a red traffic signal at Northpointe Parkway.

The trooper suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The woman suffered minor injuries and was not transported.
