The Manatee Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution are celebrating America’s 250th anniversary and the 250th anniversary of the first reading of the Declaration of Independence on Wednesday, July 8, at 6 p.m. at Courthouse Square, 1115 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton with a reading of the document by Jeff Robbins.
The organization also is sponsoring a rotating display of an American Revolution timeline at the Manatee County libraries, with giveaways for patrons.
