ODESSA — A new traffic signal at Trinity Boulevard and Cool Springs Parkway went into operation July 7, ending a left turn that drivers had long dreaded.
Pasco County said the four-way signal, which includes turn arrows, was needed because motorists were struggling to turn left onto Trinity Boulevard from Cool Springs.
“Drivers no longer have to wait for a break in traffic,” the county said in a social media post. “This is great news for those who have dreaded trying to make a left-hand turn from Cool Springs on to Trinity.”
Cool Springs Parkway connects to State Road 54, running past a Wawa gas station and behind a large apartment complex, The Gallery at Trinity and the Publix at Trinity Lakes.
Traffic on Trinity Boulevard has grown over the past decade with the arrival of an apartment complex, a hotel and businesses that include Bay Paws Pet Resort and The Collective at Escape Brewing Company, an entertainment and dining venue.
