Amber (A004914) is as sweet as they come. She walks beautifully on a leash and prefers her adventures slow and scenic, taking her time to stop and sniff every bush like the true explorer she is. She’s a well-behaved 6-year-old girl who is gentle, and has that effortless “good girl” energy that makes her an absolute joy to spend time with. Amber’s favorite time out in the play yard is wading in the kiddie pool and enjoying her favorite stuffie toy. Amber can be selective when meeting new friends, so if you have an existing furry friend, bring them in for a meet and greet and see if it’s a match. Amber is current on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She also comes with a one-year Hernando County License.

Willie (A006100) is the kind of dog who reminds you that first impressions don’t always tell the whole story. Life inside the shelter can be overwhelming for Willie. Sometimes the excitement gets the best of him, and he may grab at the leash, but once he’s outside and able to breathe, a completely different dog shines through. He’s easy to redirect, walks well on a leash, and settles into being the goofy, affectionate companion he’s meant to be. Willie seems to be dog social and has been in playgroups with other friendly dogs. He already knows his basic commands, will happily sit for attention, and has so much love waiting for the person willing to see past the shelter environment. Willie is current on vaccines, microchipped and neutered. He also comes with a one-year Hernando County License.
