The Florida Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing Thursday, July 16, on a study underway for the Bradenton-Palmetto connector project.
The study will evaluate alternatives to address increasing roadway capacity, improve regional mobility, accommodate transportation demand, and safety for all users across the Manatee River, according to FDOT.
This hearing will present the preferred alternative and analysis, as well as to give the public an opportunity to share views concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed improvements.
The public can participate in-person or live online.
The hearing will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16, at the Manatee County Fairgrounds, Veterans Hall, 1402 14th Ave. W., Palmetto.
Displays will be available starting at 5 p.m. to review and the project team will be available for discussion. The formal presentation and comment period will begin at 6 p.m.
