Student achievements
• Elizabeth Olenoski and Mackenzie Olenoski, both of Palm Harbor, graduated with bachelor degrees from the University of Mississippi during May commencement ceremonies. Elizabeth majored in political science and Mackenzie majored in allied health studies.
• Julia Sellers of Palm Harbor was named to the dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester at Georgia Southern University. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
• Seven local students graduated from the University of Tampa during the school’s May commencement ceremonies. University of Tampa May 2026 Commencement. • Four local students at the University of Tampa were named to the dean’s list at the University of Tampa for the spring 2026 semester: Ronin Abdel-Jabbar of Palm Harbor, majoring in cybersecurity, class of 2028; Kaitlyn Cornell of Palm Harbor, majoring in criminology and criminal justice, class of 2026; Connor Griffith of Tarpon Springs, majoring in accounting, class of 2026; Nicholas Fraterrigo of Palm Harbor, majoring in writing, class of 2026.
