Lightbridge Academy sets grand opening in Westchase

WESTCHASE — Lightbridge Academy will host a grand opening for its latest school, in Westchase, on Aug. 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Activities will include live entertainment, face painting, classroom tours, and technology demonstrations.

Parents enrolling their child at the grand opening can receive a tuition credit of up to $1,000.

Tax collector unveils redesigned website

TAMPA — The Hillsborough County Tax Collector’s has released its redesigned website that it says should provide easier access to its services.

The new website, hillstaxfl.gov, features “enhanced navigation, streamlined processes, and innovative online solutions designed to make essential government services more accessible,” the office says in a press release.

Key features of the redesigned hillstaxfl.gov include:

• Intuitive menu navigation that reduces clicks to complete transactions

• Mobile-first responsive design for seamless service on any device

• Enhanced search functionality to quickly locate services and information

• Streamlined online payment processes

• Quick and easy appointment scheduling

The website redesign follows the agency’s recent transition to the .gov domain, which provides enhanced security and authenticity for online transactions.

Boardwalk replacement finished at Upper Tampa Bay park

TAMPA — The Otter Trail Boardwalk at the Upper Tampa Bay Conservation Park has been entirely replaced, park officials report.

“After completing multiple repairs throughout the years, this newest replacement project completely rebuilt the boardwalk from its foundation. Stop by and check it out!,” the officials said in a positing on Facebook.

The park is located at 8001 Double Branch Road.
