An 85-year-old Tarpon Springs man died July 19 after driving his truck into a pond off Bryan Dairy Road, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said the man was traveling on Bryan Dairy Road west of Belcher Road and lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons around 1 p.m. July 19.
The vehicle rotated, departed the highway, and entered an adjacent retention pond, FHP said.
The man was recovered and transported to an area hospital where he was later died.
