Garden Club blooms with programs, service, inspiration
The Belleair Garden Club has been busy all summer bringing people together through gardening, education, volunteer service, and community events. As summer continues, residents are invited to join in the fun with several upcoming events designed to educate, inspire, and connect gardeners of all experience levels.
• Plant swap and potluck — Aug. 1
Gardeners of all experience levels are invited to the Belleair Garden Club’s plant swap and potluck on Saturday, Aug. 1. Bring a plant to share if you have one, enjoy a potluck lunch, exchange gardening ideas, and connect with others who share a love of gardening.
• Grow, stretch, thrive workshop — Coming in August
The club is planning an August workshop celebrating the connection between gardening and wellness. Find event details, registration information, and updates at belleairgardenclub.com.
• September plant swap and potluck — Sept. 12
Recent club activities included a successful patriotic birdhouse workshop, where guests painted decorative birdhouses while learning simple ways to make their landscapes more welcoming to birds and other wildlife.
Belleair Garden Club member volunteers have also been busy sprucing up the town of Belleair’s pollinator gardens.
Membership in the Belleair Garden Club is open to everyone, and guests are always encouraged to attend a meeting or event to discover what the club has to offer.
