North Pinellas Woman’s Club marks 23 years of community service
CLEARWATER — GFWC North Pinellas Woman’s Club celebrated its 23rd anniversary with a special luncheon recognizing more than two decades of volunteer service, leadership, and community impact. As part of the celebration, the city of Dunedin honored the club with an official proclamation declaring July 11 as “GFWC North Pinellas Woman’s Club Day.”
The proclamation was presented by Mayor Maureen “Moe” Freaney in recognition of the club’s longstanding commitment to improving the quality of life throughout North Pinellas County through volunteer service, philanthropy, education, and civic engagement.
Founded in 2003, GFWC North Pinellas Woman’s Club has grown into one of Florida’s most active volunteer organizations. Club members dedicate thousands of hours each year to projects that support children, families, veterans, seniors, environmental initiatives, education, domestic violence awareness, and numerous local nonprofit organizations.

Clearwater to host ‘Night at North Ward’ open house
CLEARWATER. — The city will open the historic North Ward School to the public from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30 for an open house billed as Night at North Ward.
Visitors can take self-guided tours of the building and view memorabilia, photographs and artifacts assembled by the Clearwater Historical Society to illustrate the school’s role in the community. Live music and refreshments will be offered.
The city is inviting residents, developers, investors and preservation advocates to share ideas for the property’s future redevelopment and reuse.
Anyone touring the building must sign a waiver before entering. The school is not accessible to people with disabilities.

On-site parking will be limited. Additional parking is available at the Seminole Boat Ramp, 198 Seminole St., with a shuttle running to the school.
