City unveils Music in the Park lineup
SEMINOLE — The city of Seminole Recreation Department recently announced the band lineup for its annual Music in the Park concert series, presented in part by McDermott Law Firm, P.A. Concerts will take place on Fridays, Sept. 11 through Oct. 9, at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road, Seminole.
The free, family-friendly concert series will take place each Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. The series features five weeks of live entertainment, food vendors, and community fun for all ages.
The series kicks off on Friday, Sept. 11, with a special tribute recognizing the 25th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. An opening ceremony and moment of silence will begin at 6:45pm, followed by an all-American music performance by the Chris Robert Band from 7 to 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in honor of the occasion.
Following is a look at the complete 2026 concert lineup:
• Sept. 11 — Chris Robert Band, performing country and all-American favorites
• Sept. 18 — Sweet Lick, an acoustic cover band
• Sept. 25 — Trop Rock Junkies, delivering beach vibes
• Oct. 2 — Mad with Power, playing rock and dance
• Oct. 9 — Brigade, a Heart tribute band
Admission to Music in the Park is free. Parking is $3 per vehicle, including golf carts. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Coolers are discouraged and outside alcohol is prohibited.
Concessions will be available for purchase from the Fire Union (cash only). Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase through the city of Seminole Recreation Department.
Featured vendors throughout the concert series include A Bee’s Place and Rita’s Italian Ice.

Tarpon Art Guild announces call to artists
TARPON SPRINGS — The Tarpon Art Guild is sponsoring a call to artists with the theme of water.
Artists will show their interpretation of water flowing, surging, falling, frozen, dripping, or anything they desire. The entries will be shown on the back wall of the Tarpon Art Guild during the month of August. An awards reception will take place on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the gallery of the Tarpon Art Guild, 161 E. Tarpon Ave. in Tarpon Springs.

Donations sought for The Jewelry Box
DUNEDIN — The Dunedin Fine Art Center is collecting gently loved necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches, costume jewelry, and other sparkling accessories for The Jewelry Box, a special pop-up shopping experience during the wearable ART 20: Platinum pre-party set for Saturday, Aug. 22, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Inspired by this year’s Platinum theme, event organizers are especially looking for silver, rhinestones, crystals, pearls, metallic finishes, and anything with a little extra sparkle. Whether you donate one piece or an entire jewelry box, your generosity helps support the arts while giving these treasures a second life.
As a thank-you, those who donate will receive one complimentary voucher (regardless of the number of pieces donated) to redeem for one New-to-You jewelry item from The Jewelry Box during the wearable ART 20 pre-party.
