Looks like Arnold is living up to his famous promise: “I’ll be back.”
Presented by StudioCanal, Fathom Entertainment and Rialto Pictures, “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” will return to select theaters Aug. 28-Sept. 2, celebrating the film’s 35th anniversary.
Originally released in 1991, “T2” remains one of the highest-grossing and most influential films ever made. Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, and Robert Patrick, the film earned four Academy Awards and revolutionized action cinema with effects that still hold up today. “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” holds 90% critics score and 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The U.S. release has a wide national theatrical footprint from a partnership between Fathom Entertainment, the leading specialty distributor of content to theatrical partners worldwide, and Rialto Pictures. The 4K and 3D presentation uses StudioCanal’s acclaimed 2017 restoration and 3D conversion.
Schwarzenegger returns in this sequel to 1984’s “The Terminator” — only this time, he’s the protector.
