Pinellas Seminole Woman’s Club open to new members
SEMINOLE — The Pinellas Seminole Woman’s Club is looking for new members interested in serving the community, participating in fundraisers and who enjoy volunteering, meeting new people and having fun.
Members meet once a month on the fourth Monday at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce at 9200 113th St. at 6 p.m. Meetings consist of guest speakers, discussions of latest projects and upcoming fundraisers. Refreshments are provided.

Seminole Historical Museum offers look at local history
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Historical Museum, at Seminole City Park, is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.
Exhibits include fossils found at Boca Ciega Millennium Park and a Pioneer Room with displays on the area’s train, citrus and fishing industries. The museum also holds original artifacts from the agriculture farm used by pioneer families.
On Thursdays, the museum’s Native American educator displays artifacts and discusses the Tocobaga, who settled in the Seminole area.
Music in the Park at Seminole City Park begins Sept. 11.
Junior Woman’s Club seeks members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Junior Woman’s Club is recruiting members — women 18 and older from Seminole and surrounding communities.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd. Prospective members can join at a monthly meeting.
The group focuses on programs for children and veterans. Members serve meals at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, run the Share Our Spirit food drive for Seminole children over the winter break, and hold an annual purse auction in April to fund community programs.
