It may have taken awhile — 23 years to be exact — but the Freedom baseball team can finally hang its banner with pride. Led by coach Dane Moore, the team completed the best season in school history in the spring, winning a school record 23 games and going undefeated in Class 5A, District 9 play, capped by a district title-clinching 4-3 win over East Bay. And more may be on the way — the Patriots had only one senior on the roster.
