Junior Woman’s Club seeks members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Junior Woman’s Club is looking for new members, women 18 and older from Seminole and surrounding communities.
The club serves the community through programs for children and veterans. Activities include providing a meal at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, the club’s Share Our Spirit food drive, which feeds Seminole children over the winter school break, and an annual purse auction in April that raises money for local programs.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of the month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd. Prospective members may join at a monthly meeting.

Seminole Historical Museum
The Seminole Historical Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.
Exhibits include fossils found at Boca Ciega Millennium Park; the Pioneer Room, with displays on the area’s railroad, citrus and fishing industries; and original tools used by pioneer families at the agriculture farm.
On Thursdays, the museum’s Native American educator displays artifacts and discusses the Tocobaga, who settled in the Seminole area.
Seminole Woman’s Club seeks members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Woman’s Club is looking for new members interested in community service, fundraising and volunteering.
The club meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Monday of the month at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, 9200 113th St. Meetings feature guest speakers and discussion of current projects and upcoming fundraisers. Refreshments are served.

KoC presents smoker to Seminole firefighters
Knights of Columbus Council 17162, based at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, recently presented a barbecue smoker to firefighters at Seminole Fire Rescue Station 29 in recognition of their service.
