The former Boston Market at 7820 113th Street N. in Seminole sat vacant for three years before it began to show any signs of new life.
Purchased in March by Tampa-based Wagner Property Group, the renovated restaurant will soon have a new tenant: Wild Fork Foods, a meat and seafood market with 66 locations around the country, including one at 2801 Fourth Street N. in St. Petersburg, which debuted in November 2024.
Reached by phone at Wild Fork’s Miami headquarters, a spokesperson would not confirm an opening date.
Wild Fork sells beef, chicken, pork and seafood, as well as more exotic meats such as alligator, bison, venison and ostrich. The South Florida company uses a “blast freezing process,” freezing all meat at -40 degrees immediately after packaging, and vacuum-sealing.
The bill of fare includes pre-made meals, sushi, pizza, desserts and side dishes. Wild Fork also operates a delivery service.
The parent company, Colorado-based JBS USA Holdings, Inc. is a subsidiary of the Brazilian multinational JBS S.A.
Wild Fork, adjacent to a Publix store, will be the latest specialty grocer in the vicinity. Across 113th Street is a Fresh Market, and a Sprouts Farmers Market is half a mile away, on Seminole Boulevard.
Wagner paid $2.42 million for the property. The previous owner was Regions Bank, which had owned it since 1993.
Boston Market Corporation filed for multiple bankruptcies in 2023 and 2024.
