Meet Bambi, who arrived at the shelter in late May as a stray. She is playful, cuddly, silly, and learning every day that people can be trusted. She wiggles for her foster, picks favorite toys and takes treats gently. She warms up quickly to kids, follows the lead of other dogs, and has a wonderful history with cats. Meet Jaxon, who has been at the Pet Resource Center for more than 200 days. When he arrived in February as a stray, he was underweight and in rough condition. But with time, care, and consistency, Jaxon has filled out, brightened up, and discovered a huge love for water, be it a kiddie pool, a hose, or a splash session in the yard. He’s done incredibly well with staff, volunteers, and on his Adventure Tails outings. Unfortunately, after 200-plus days in the shelter, Jaxon is starting to show anxiety in his kennel. He needs an “out” soon — a foster, an adopter, someone who can help him continue this upward trajectory before stress sets him back.
