Seminole Historical Museum sets fall programs
The Seminole Historical Museum has scheduled a series of evening programs with guest speakers for September, October and November.
Tickets are on sale for Crabby Bill’s October Fish, set for Oct. 16 in the museum backyard. They are available at the museum and at Music in the Park, which runs Fridays from Sept. 11 through Oct. 9. The museum will be open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on those five Fridays.
The November program will be off-site at Sacred Lands.
Visitors can also see the updated train industry display and a fossil exhibit featuring finds from Boca Ciega Millennium Park.
The museum is at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.
Junior Woman’s Club seeks new members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Junior Woman’s Club is looking for new members — women 18 and older from Seminole and the surrounding area. The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd.
The group focuses on community service, particularly programs that help children and veterans. Activities include serving a meal at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg; the club’s Share Our Spirit food drive, which helps feed Seminole children during winter break; and an annual purse auction in April that raises money for local programs.

Last chance to pick up Field of Honor streamers
SEMINOLE — Members of the Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole will be at the Seminole Post Office on 113th Street from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 14, to return streamers from the 2025 Field of Honor to people who did not pick them up last year.
Applications to honor a veteran in the 2026 Field of Honor, set for Nov. 7 through Dec. 5, also will be available.

Kiwanis club sets final family fishing event
SEMINOLE — The Kiwanis Breakfast Club of Seminole will hold its final Family Fun Fishing event of 2026 from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Taylor Park, 1100 Eighth Ave. S.W., Largo.
The event, held in partnership with Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources, is free for children 14 and younger.
The club provides bait and fishing poles, but children are welcome to bring their own gear. Prizes are awarded for the first fish caught, the most fish caught, the smallest fish caught and the three largest fish caught.
Water and juice will be available, and participants will receive books through the club’s Just 1 Book literacy program. Donations are welcome and help offset the cost of bait.
Seminole Woman’s Club seeks members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Woman’s Club is looking for new members interested in community service, fundraising, volunteering and meeting new people.
The club meets at 6 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at the Seminole Chamber of Commerce, 9200 113th St. Meetings feature guest speakers and discussions of current projects and upcoming fundraisers. Refreshments are served.
