New rehab hospital accepting patients
BRADENTON — Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital, a new 60-bed rehab hospital designed to help people recover from illnesses and injuries, is accepting patients at 412 53rd Ave. W. The three-story, 63,000-square-foot hospital includes private patient rooms and two therapy gyms. “Our first and foremost core value is keeping the patient at the forefront,” Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital CEO Tom Marnejon said. Medical rehabilitation physicians, therapists and nurses collaborate on individual therapy plans to help patients recover from conditions like stroke, brain injury, neurological disorders and complex orthopedic conditions. An interactive platform called the BITS System is designed to improve hand-eye coordination, mobility and cognition through visual activities. The hospital is in the Nobis group, which operates Pinellas County Rehabilitation Hospital in Pinellas Park and Florida Rehabilitation Hospital in Tampa, among its 20 facilities.

French restaurant adds cafe
BRADENTON — Au P’tit Bonheur has opened a French sidewalk café outside its restaurant at 312 12th St. W. With three tables and eight chairs, the café serves alcoholic beverages.
