Since 1996, the group has entertained audiences nationwide with its high-energy performances and celebration of timeless music.
The concert will feature beloved songs made famous by legendary artists including The Temptations, The Four Tops, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, The Supremes, Tina Turner and many more. With classic favorites, smooth harmonies, impressive choreography and musical surprises throughout the evening, Sounds of Soul: Motown & Beyond promises to have audiences singing along and dancing in their seats.
The Sounds of Soul has headlined everywhere from Los Angeles, California, to the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. Selections from their show have been featured at major venues including Miami’s American Airlines Arena and Tampa Bay’s Yuengling Center. On the airwaves, the group has appeared on the internationally syndicated show “Dance Connection.” They have shared the stage with The O’Jays, Bobby Brown, and funny man Sinbad.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the Tarpon Springs community through arts, culture, education and opportunity. By attending the event, community members can enjoy an evening of exceptional live entertainment while helping create scholarship opportunities for local students.
“Music has a wonderful way of bringing people together, and this event allows us to come together for a great cause,” said Megan McIntyre, Tarpon Arts interim director. “By attending Sounds of Soul: Motown & Beyond, our community is not only enjoying an unforgettable evening, but also helping provide scholarships that can make a lasting difference in the lives of local students.”
