Last chance to pick up Field of Honor streamers
SEMINOLE — Monday, Sept. 14, is the last day to pick up streamers from the 2025 Field of Honor.
The Seminole Kiwanis Club will distribute them from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Seminole Post Office, 9355 113th St. Applications to honor a veteran in the 2026 Field of Honor, which runs Nov. 7 through Dec. 5, also will be available.

Student achievement
• Nicholas Bertrand of Seminole is one of more than 3,500 students in the University at Albany’s Class of 2030, the largest first-year class in the school’s history.
Bertrand is majoring in business administration.
Seminole museum plans evening programs
SEMINOLE — Tickets for Crabby Bill’s October Fish on Oct. 16 in the backyard of the Seminole Historical Museum are available at the museum and during Music In The Park events Sept. 11 through Oct. 9.
Evening programs are planned for Sept. 23, Oct. 28 and Nov. 18 with dynamic speakers and an off-site November program is at Sacred Lands.
The museum will be open from 6:30-8:30 pm on those Fridays.
The museum, located at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road, is open 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays and Saturday.
Seminole chamber sets networking luncheon
The Greater Seminole Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly networking luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Apple Butter Café in Seminole.

• Health Forum and Expo: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at the St. Petersburg College Seminole Conference Center, 9200 113th St. The free public event will focus on bone health and aging, with a discussion of prevention, strength and long-term wellness. Light lunch provided.
• E-waste collection: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, in the front parking lot of St. Petersburg College’s Seminole campus, 9200 113th St. Flat fee of $15. A list of accepted items is at myseminolechamber.com.
Junior Woman’s Club seeks new members
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Junior Woman’s Club is looking for new members: women 18 and older from Seminole and surrounding communities.
The club meets at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Thursday of each month at Lake Seminole Square, 8333 Seminole Blvd. Prospective members may join at a monthly meeting.
The group focuses on programs for children and veterans. Activities include serving a meal at the Ronald McDonald House in St. Petersburg, the “Share Our Spirit” food drive, which helps feed Seminole children during Christmas break, and an annual purse auction in April that raises money for community programs.
