The lighting at Safety Harbor City Park's five baseball and softball fields has been declared unfit for nighttime play, with nearly half of the 167 bulbs burned out and the rest too dim to be safe, according to city officials. After Safety Harbor Little League representatives brought the issue to city leaders, the commission approved a $50,000 bulb replacement for the three main fields while it looks for a way to fund a full upgrade estimated at more than $1 million.
