Hillsborough schools pick 8 new principals

The end-of-year leadership shuffle continues for elementary, middle and high school students.

Eight Hillsborough County schools will see new principals this fall.

Deanna McCahan, principal of Shields Middle School, will become principal of Freedom High. McCahan started working in the district in 2003.

Cristina Vega, principal of Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary, will become principal of Buchanan Middle. Vega began working in the district in 2013.

Ana Victoria Morse, principal of Woodbridge Elementary, will become principal of Bryant Elementary. Morse started working in the district in 1995.

Lizzette Beltran, an assistant principal at Cannella Elementary, will become principal of Cannella Elementary. Beltran began working in the district in 2006.

Christina Calve, an assistant principal at Carrollwood K-8, will become principal of Lowry Elementary. Calve started working in the district in 2006.

Carmon Hinton, an assistant principal at Lewis Elementary, will become principal of McDonald Elementary. Hinton started working in the district in 2019.

Jennifer Heinze, principal of Edison Elementary, will become principal of Morgan Woods Elementary. Heinz began working in the district in 2005.

Amy Metzler, principal of Tampa Heights Elementary, will become principal of Tampa Bay Boulevard Elementary. Metzler started working in the district in 2010.
