TRINITY — Never has soccer reached a fever pitch more than now.
Both on the pitch and right here at home.
That’s why The Collective at Escape Brewing Co. has partnered with Florida Premier FC to host World Cup Watch parties whenever the U.S. Men’s National Team is playing. On June 19, when the U.S. defeated Australia 2-0 to advance to the knockout stage, hundreds of fans — many donning USMNT jerseys or patriotic gear — packed the food hall and brewery, including the outdoor beer garden that featured a 150-inch TV on display.
Owners John McGregor and Matt Thompson, who founded Escape Brewing in a nearby strip mall in 2014, said every World Cup game broadcast during business hours will be on, but they decided to go all out on the U.S. games once partnering with Florida Premier, which has its players and coaches in attendance for the watch parties.
At the 18,000-square-foot facility, which features a tap room and a food hall that McGregor and Thompson opened in March 2025, Escape and Florida Premier will feature photo ops, a DJ, a kids fun zone and even pickup soccer games in the parking lot. And it’s all free to attend during the U.S. games.
The Collective features four food vendors in the hall — 3 Corners Pizza, Florida Donut Co., Jimmy Renners burgers and The Little Lamb Outpost. Escape also has two full bars, signature cocktails and their award-winning craft beers, such as The Other West Coast and Goofy Footed — the perfect beer to have while watching a soccer match, McGregor and Thompson quipped.
The next watch party will be Thursday, June 25, at 10 p.m. when the U.S. plays Türkiye in Los Angeles.
