Gag grouper season is finally here, and this is what awaits offshore anglers this month. This one came from shallow rock bottom on a trip to 10 feet or so of water, where Capt. Cody will be running most of his gag trips.

Redfish are taking the bait inshore

Fishing inside the Anclote and Cotee rivers has been very productive for Capt. Cody Albright. Almost every trip results in grand slams of trout, reds and snook, with some days including a tarpon for a super slam. He’s not pushing in too far in either river, noting fish are from just inside the mouth to several hundred yards inside. This snook was one of many taken over the past week.
